The Silver Age made Clark Kent downright godlike and gave Superman several strange powers, including the ability to time travel.
Superman's Super-Breath Could Instantly Kill People While DC fans might think Superman's strength or heat vision would be the most dangerous weapon at his disposal, it's actually his breath. In Infinite Crisis #7 by Geoff Johns, Phil Jimenez, George Pérez, Ivan Reis, and Joe Bennett, Superboy-Prime, Supeman's younger, angrier variant, is on a rampage and is tearing his way through the DC Universe.
Superman's misguided, killer doppelganger might behave in ways that Clark never would. But the hero DC fans know and love is just as capable of doing the same thing that Superboy-Prime is. Super-breath isn't the most used power of Superman's, but it often comes in handy when Clark needs to freeze an enemy or clear a swath of debris. Unlike his strength or heat vision, which Superman uses to fight his more powerful foes, Clark uses his super-breath for more specific purposes.
Superman Intentionally Limits His Most Deadly Power Any of Superman's powers could turn him into a menace. He could boil oceans with his heat vision or break Earth in half with his strength. While fans might not think his super-breath could be that bad, Clark could easily use it to petrify his foes and break them in the blink of an eye. Of course, Superman would never sink to the levels of Superboy-Prime. Instead, Clark pulls his punches and limits what he can do with his super-breath.
