One person was killed late Wednesday in an Oakland freeway shooting, only four days after a 5-year-old girl died after bullets pierced her family car on Saturday, officials said. The California Highway Patrol said it responded to a report of gunfire on westbound Interstate 580 at 11:50 p.m. CHP released few details on what occurred and said that the preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting appears to have occurred on the freeway, and the vehicles then exited at Lakeshore Avenue-Lake Park Avenue and traveled onto city streets. One person was pronounced dead.CHP said that as of Thursday morning, it’s only aware of one victim.
