Fireable offenses occur in Parks and Rec.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT At many points in the political satire mockumentary, multiple Parks and Recreation characters should've been fired from the Pawnee Parks Department. From 2009 to 2015, the show Parks and Recreation aired on NBC, introducing viewers to the employees of the Pawnee, Indiana Parks and Rec Department. The show pokes fun at the red tape and sometimes absurd jobs involved in small government.

8 Tom Haverford: Pitching His Side Hustles At Work During Parks and Recreation, Tom creates multiple companies with the idea that he'll eventually get rich. The legality of this situation varies from place to place. In some locations, this alone wouldn't be a fireable offense since government employees can have side businesses under strict guidelines. Unfortunately, Tom took it a step further by pushing his companies on parks department coworkers and pitching during work hours.

6 April Ludgate: Scheduling 94 Meetings In One Day April Ludgate is not the most efficient worker throughout Parks and Recreation, but she made a catastrophic mistake she thought March 31st didn't exist. There's messing up something small at work, and then there's scheduling 94 meetings in one day. If a person worked a full 24-hour day, that would still equate to approximately 4 meetings per day. Luckily, multiple people help break up the work, taking on different duties.

4 Ron Swanson: Bringing A Sawed-Off Shotgun To Work In the credits of the pilot episode of Parks and Recreation, Ron shows his sawed-off shotgun that's affixed to a swivel. He says that he points it at anyone who comes into his office so that they have to stare down the barrel when they ask him for something. This is not only dangerous, but it should've gotten him fired from the Parks Department.
