An inmate who escaped prison and a female corrections who helped him in Alabama on April 29 has been captured after a police pursuit by vehicle, according to authorities.
The inmate, Casey White, is in custody and Vicky White, who was assistant director of corrections at the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office, has been taken to the hospital after a police chase in Evansville, Indiana, that resulted in an overturned vehicle, Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding told reporters on Monday.

The pair never returned, prompting a manhunt.
