It's often Marvel Studios' supporting characters that steal the scene in Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Although the primary hero or villain is always the main focus of any MCU installment, the inclusion of a variety of supporting characters helps to cement the lead as a well-rounded and realistic character. These supporting characters also need personalities of their own, however, and these personalities sometimes outshine the performances of the leads.
9 Agent Jimmy Woo Randall Park brought FBI Agent Jimmy Woo to life in Ant-Man and the Wasp, as he was the agent tasked with ensuring Paul Rudd's Scott Lang stuck to the rules of his house arrest. Although only filling a small role, Park's portrayal of Woo was fantastic and bordering on satirical, often making fun of the bureaucracy of the FBI, but gifting Park some brilliant moments of comedy in the process.
6 Yelena Belova Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova debuted in 2021's Black Widow as the surrogate sister of Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff, with both being raised and trained as Black Widow assassins in the Red Room. Their chemistry was fantastic, which made Romanoff's death before Black Widow's post-credits scene even more tragic.
