Although Michael Keaton's Batman has been a big draw for The Flash movie, there's more than just the classic Caped Crusader to get excited about.
Although the return of Michael Keaton's Batman has been a big part of The Flash's marketing, there are a good number of things to get excited about beyond the classic Caped Crusader. Attempting to race back in time to save his mother, Ezra Miller's Barry Allen will inadvertently cause a massive domino effect that results in a collision of realities and major disruption to the multiverse.
9 Sasha Calle Will Play A Very Different Supergirl While Barry will be joining forces with Keaton's Batman to restore the universe, they'll also recruit Supergirl . However, this version of Kara Zor-El looks to be very different from the version seen in the CW's Arrowverse played by Melissa Benoist. Taking Superman's role from the comics' Flashpoint storyline, Kara looks to be held in a Russian prison .
7 A Flashpoint-Inspired Multiverse Story As previously mentioned, The Flash is loosely adapting significant concepts from the comics' major Flashpoint event. While not a perfect adaptation, the core beats are present with Barry going back in time to save his murdered mother, inadvertently rewriting reality for the worse. He also had to regain his lost powers before he could set things right which The Flash has also teased.
4 The Flash's Secret Villain While General Zod has been set up as the main villain in The Flash's trailers, Supergirl seems to have the Kryptonian foe handled with support from Keaton's Batman and Barry Allen. However, it's been theorized that there will be a more direct foe who will face Barry Allen, though they've been kept hidden from the majority of the film's marketing. After all, the Reverse-Flash was the one who killed Barry's mother in the comics.
