The Blackhawks fell to the NashvillePredators 4-3 at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday. Here are 10 observations from the loss.
I thought Kevin Lankinen put together a strong performance, even though he gave up four goals. The only goal I'm sure he'd like to have back is the first one. The other three, there wasn't much he could've done. He made a very nice save on Filip Forsberg at the end of the second period on a breakaway chance, probably the best of his 30 stops.The Seth Jones and Riley Stillman pairing had a tough day.
They were on the ice with the top line for the majority of the game, so that five-man unit as a whole struggled together. They teamed up for a nice goal near the end of the third period but it wasn't too reflective of how the overall game went for them.Patrick Kane became the fourth player in franchise history to appear in his 1,000th game with the Blackhawks, and he made it a memorable one by scoring for the third straight game and dishing out a beautiful assist on Stillman's goal.
