Although the Sith exist as Star Wars' predominant villains, there are some foes who are even more terrifying in the galaxy far, far away.

Although the predominant villains in Star Wars are the Dark Lords of the Sith, there are other foes who are arguably even more terrifying. A mirror to the Jedi Order, the Sith utilize the dark side of the Force to gain power, dominate, and rule the galaxy. Having existed nearly as long as the Jedi themselves, the Sith grew in power for thousands of years. However, their power in the dark side hardly makes them the only terror in the galaxy far, far away. Some beings are even scarier.

9 Grand Admiral Thrawn Hailing from the world Csilla located in the Unknown Regions, Grand Admiral Thrawn joined the ranks of Palpatine's Empire during the Dark Times before the original trilogy, acknowledging Palpatine's power and seeking an alliance between the Empire and his own people, the Chiss Ascendancy. A gifted tactician and military strategist unlike any other in the Empire, Thrawn earned his high-ranking title rather quickly and became one of Palpatine's favored officers.

7 The Ordu Aspectu Predating the Sith Lords, a splinter group from the Jedi Order known as the Ordu Aspsectu was a rather mysterious sect of Force-wielders. Existing as the first known dark side cult the Jedi ever fought in the Star Wars timeline, there were conflicting reports about the true goals of the Ordu Aspectu, though certain archeologists such as Doctor Aphra believed they sacrificed kidnapped Padawans in the hopes of gaining immortality.

Having become a master of the dark side through his discoveries of ancient artifacts and mysteries of the Force located in the Unknown Regions, Snoke became as terrifying as the Sith . Likewise, It was this great power that allowed him to take the Imperial Remnant and reform it into the First Order. Having gained great knowledge and skills in the dark side, Snoke began teaching Kylo Ren after successfully corrupting the son of Leia Organa and Han Solo.
