Odenville police and St. Clair County deputies are investigating the shooting of a 12-year-old girl.
A young girl was airlifted to Children’s of Alabama after she was accidentally shot Friday afternoon.
According to Odenville police, officers were dispatched at 1:34 p.m. to Love Joy Terrace on a report of a 12-year-old girl who had been shot in the stomach. The girl was treated on the scene and then flown by helicopter from St. Clair County to the Birmingham hospital. She is listed in stable condition.The investigation is ongoing by Odenville police with assistance from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.
