A 12-year-old girl who was killed in a shooting on the West Side earlier this month has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.

Rebecca Rodriguez died from gunshot wounds she sustained in the shooting, which happened at a house party on March 18, according to officials.

San Antonio police said they responded to the shooting just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday in the 2100 block of S. Callaghan Road.The 12-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene and the 15-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to a preliminary report from SAPD.
