BREAKING NEWS | At least 14 students were killed and one teacher is dead after an 'active shooter' incident at a Texas school, Gov. Greg Abbott said.
"He shot and killed horrifically and incomprehensibly 14 students and killed a teacher," Abbott said during an unrelated press briefing.
Bystander Isaias Melendez said he witnessed students evacuating a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.The Children's Hospital of San Antonio said it has also received patients from the shooting. "There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary," the school district said on Twitter."Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered it will be shared."
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office and San Antonio Police Department are sending aid, and the FBI is responding.
