UPDATE | Two people have now been confirmed dead in a double shooting at a Shell gas station on North Emerson Avenue.
INDIANAPOLIS — Two people have been confirmed dead in a double shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department North District officers were dispatched to the Shell gas station at 3402 North Emerson Avenue on a report of two people shot at 5:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals believed to be adult males inside the business with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.The second victim was transported to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. The victim later died from the injuries.Detectives have spoke with multiple witnesses and do not believe the gas station employees were involved in the incident. Detectives will also review surveillance video.
