Two people were reportedly killed after a small plane crashed near Westchester County Airport.
According to county officials, the plane had taken off from John F. Kennedy International Airport and was headed to Cuyahoga County Airport in Richmond Heights,Officials say the plane was found in trees near Rye Lake.A single engine plane that had taken off from JFK Airport headed to Ohio disappeared from radar and crashed in Westchester County.
The pilot reported possible engine issues before FAA air traffic controllers lost radar and radio contact with the aircraft Thursday around 6:15 p.m. The weather at the time was not very good. The ceiling was at 200 ft. with only 1 mile of visibility due to light rain and sleet.
