Two world premieres, a musical about civil rights icon Fannie Lou Hamer and a new, Bay Area-based take on “Little Shop of Horrors” highlight TheatreWorks Silicon Valley’s new season.
The Palo Alto company’s 52nd season, running November through August 2023, also includes the West Coast premiere of “In Every Generation,” a look at one family’s deep connection with Passover, and a revival of the Southern comedy-drama “Steel Magnolias.” “We invite audiences to lift their voices with us this season,” said artistic director Tim Bond, who will be entering his third season with TheatreWorks. “In celebration that live, in-person theatre has returned; in awe for thrilling moments of joy and

Directed by Jeffrey Lo, this “Little Shop” is set in San Francisco’s Chinatown. It plays Nov. 30-Dec. 24 at the Lucie Stern Theatre in Palo Alto.
