Xpeng's Australian range has expanded rapidly under factory-backed distribution and the L03 mid-size electrified SUV is the next cab off the rank.has so far introduced only electric vehicles to the Australian market, but it's now entering the extended-range electric vehicle space with the Australia is among the first right-hand drive export markets to receive the new L03, introducing the Chinese automaker's Kunpeng EREV technology alongside its latest intelligent cockpit and advanced driver-assistance systems.
The EREV will be available in a sole 'Power-X' variant alongside three pure-EV versions. Interestingly, pricing for the EREV and the entry-level 'Standard Range' EV is identical atThe Long Range EV brings a larger battery with a higher asking price of $46,900 before on-roads, while the flagship Performance Ultra costs $53,900 plus ORCs. The Performance Ultra is the only all-wheel drive L03 grade available locally, featuring a dual-motor setup with increased power, along with some more advanced tech.
The EREV utilises a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine to charge a 37kWh lithium iron phosphate battery; it can't drive the wheels directly. Xpeng claims it has more than 200km of WLTP electric range and a combined range of more than 1000km. Inside, the L03 features a 15.6-inch central infotainment touchscreen, 256-colour ambient lighting, intelligent climate control, and lounge-style front seats with heating, ventilation, four-way power lumbar adjustment, and 14-point massage function.
As ever, technology is a major focus. Most fascinatingly, Xpeng says its advanced 'Navigation Guided Pilot' and Vision-Language-Action tech – enabling semi-autonomous driving capabilities similar to Tesla's Full Self-Driving – will be introduced locally via an over-the-air software update in 2027. This will likely launch with the Performance Ultra first, given it's the only variant fitted with three advanced Turing AI chips. Xpeng ANZ backs its range with a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Servicing for the L03 is required every 12 months or 20,000km, whichever comes first. Xpeng's warranty coverage drops to 160,000km if the vehicle is used for commercial purposes, such as ride-sharing. There's a 'Black Edition' pack available for the Performance Ultra, bringing a black interior and various other blacked-out elements, including black brake calipers. It's only available in Midnight Black and costs an additional $1200.
Five colours are available across the L03 range, but the base Standard Range only gets three of them. All bar Arctic White cost an additional $800. Two interior colours are also available for all variants except the Standard Range, which can only be had in Dark Gray. Both options are free of charge.
