ISLAND PARK, Long Island -- A 30-year-old man was struck and killed in a hit and run on Long Island Monday night, and now, his grieving wife is left looking for answers.Police say the victim, Dodanim Emanuel Chavez, was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Long Beach Road and suffered severe trauma."When I got here, I found him dead on the ground," wife Lura Chavez said."Now getting to the house and he's not around. I can't call him anymore.

Born in El Salvador and later moving to the United States, Chavez is survived by his wife, a 3-year-old daughter named Emma, and two stepchildren.
