A highly-anticipated report released Sunday detailing allegations of sex abuse amongOver the past four decades, Prestonwood has garnered prominence through a congregation of nearly 50,000, and a social media following of more than double that — complete with statewide political connections.
In a statement on Sunday, Prestonwood’s executive pastor, Mike Buster, said the church “categorically denies the way the report characterizes the incident 33 years ago.” Former Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith in Mississippi also alleged Langworthy sexually abused another male child at some point between 1984 and 1989 at Prestonwood.
