Headed to the yard sale this weekend? Here's what to know.

The World's Longest Yard Sale is Aug. 4-7, 2022. It begins in Gadsden. Sometimes you just need a mannequin covered in rhinestones. Or a World War II-era gas mask. Or a reminder of your childhood: dolls, games, lunchboxes, VHS tapes.

The route begins at Gadsden, Ala., and runs 93 miles along Lookout Mountain Parkway, then follows Highway 127 from Chattanooga, Tenn., to Addison, Mich. It is officially known as the 127 Sale. CheckThe number of vendors on the route is expected to be lower this year since the pandemic forced its cancellation in 2020 but organizers say there will still be more than 2,200 vendors spread along the route – there were as many as 5,000 at one point.

2. You will need to get into your car and drive through some areas where there is not enough roadside for booths or where no one has rented space. You will still do plenty of walking, however.
