“Sometimes people find they’re better at an event they didn’t do before,” she said. “That’s the cool thing about track and field. A lot of people get sucked into this whole marathon thing, and the marathon is really hard on your body. I never want to do another marathon.” Rohl has found, unexpectedly, plenty of appreciation for her performances. On January 28, on the indoor track at Bucknell, she broke her own American record in the 800 meters, running 2:24.47.
