Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Survivors are scant in the seminal 28 Days Later and its sequel 28 Weeks Later, but news of a planned 28 Years Later has prompted speculation that a few familiar faces could return to face the infected hordes once more. Danny Boyle's groundbreaking revitalization of the zombie genre depicted a Britain overrun with swathes of undead, infected with a pathogen known as the Rage Virus.
In the 28 Days Later comic book, Jim, Selena, and Hannah are rescued, taken to France, and become known as the "Manchester Three." Upon their arrival, Jim is arrested for the death of Major West and the soldiers at the end of 28 Days Later and is scheduled for execution. However, at the conclusion of 28 Weeks Later, the latest batch of survivors traveled to France only to find it overrun with infected.
5 Naomie Harris's Selena Could Become A Mighty Warrior In 28 Years Later Fellow Manchester Three Member, Selena, adapted quickly to the kill or be killed lifestyle necessary for survival in 28 Days Later. Interestingly, as Jim hardened to the surrounding situation, Selena softened and the two began a romantic entanglement. Whether this romance will survive decades later remains to be seen, but it certainly didn't in the comic book series.
Hannah was played by Megan Burns who, since 28 Days Later, transitioned to a musical career, performing under the name Betty Curse. Burns was praised for her album Here Lies Betty Curse in 2006, but quickly disappeared from public view. This changed in 2018, however, when Burns appeared in the short film In2ruders. This might indicate a return to acting, and reprising her role as Hannah in 28 Years Later might be the perfect way to do so.
2 Andy Could Be The Key To A Cure In 28 Years Later Andy Harris is Tammy's younger brother, who inherited his mother's immunity to the Rage Virus. His importance, as the only known surviving "carrier" of the virus, can not be understated in exploring 28 Years Later potentialities. Like his sister, Andy was rescued by helicopter during the conclusion of 28 Weeks Later and was presumably onboard when it crashed in an infected Paris.
