“It made me feel the sense of just agony and confusion about, sort of, the - I don't know, the complete neglect and incompetence of the people working on this case,” she added. The number of hit-and-run crashes in Chicago has skyrocketed over the past year, according to an NBC 5 Investigates’ analysis of the city’s own data that shows the past 12 months have seen the highest number of crashes, deaths and incapacitating injuries of the past four years.
