£9.4m has been pumped into the roll out of the new fleet
Nearly 60 new fully electric double-decker buses are heading for the streets of the Liverpool City Region after funding of more than £9m was secured from government.
As part of the deal, the CA will also be contributing £22m in match-funding the the project. We know this was a highly competitive process so this award speaks to high quality of our submission and the hard work of colleagues.
The Liverpool City Region is one of 25 authorities to receive a share of a total of £143m in funding that will bring close to a thousand new zero-emission buses into service.
