And while disguise obscures the detailing on this prototype we can be sure it’ll feature AMG’s trademark Panamericana grille.

We can also be fairly sure about the mechanical setup lurking behind that grille, because we’re expecting it to be carried over unchanged from the recently. That means the GLC63 S drops the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 found in the current car and borrows the C63’s turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, plug-in hybrid powertrain. The C63’s engine on its own produces 470 hp and contributes to a total system output of 671 hp and 752 lb-ft .
