The dead bodies were found during searches in wooded lots and sinkhole ponds, the Attorney General of Quintana Roo says.

Officials said similar searches were also carried out in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, a town south of Tulum, a town on the coastline of the country's Yucatán Peninsula. Oklahoma attorney general to recommend clemency for GlossipOklahoma's new Attorney General Gentner Drummond is planning to ask the state's Pardon and Parole Board to recommend clemency for death row inmate Richard Glossip. Such a move is highly unusual for the state's top prosecutor's office, which always urges the board to reject clemency. But Drummond says in a Monday letter to the five-member board that he has serious concerns about the fairness of Glossip's trial. Drummond previously asked the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals to vacate Glossip's sentence, but the court declined to do so. Glossip has long maintained his innocence in the 1997 beating death of Barry Van Treese, the owner of the hotel where Glossip worked. He is scheduled to be executed on May 18.
