Australia’s Defence Strategic Review declares the situation has “never been more desperate” but the inquiry has left a sense of “anti-climax”, says The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan.
“There’s also a sense of anti-climax, did we really have to have this long inquiry in order to announce another enquiry about our service fleet,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News Australia. “On the one hand, this strategic assessment is that the situation’s never been more desperate, on the other hand not much is happening and it’s not happening fast.”
