Selwyn Snow Resort General Manager Lucy Blyton says it is a “cruel irony” how her venue is facing unprecedented levels of snow after being “wiped out” after bushfires.
Early snow fall has delayed the re-opening of Selwyn Snow Resort affecting the venue’s electrical switchboards and waste water system. Ms Blyton said it was a devastating call to delay reopening the ski resort, especially after rebuilding the venue after natural disaster. “Our resort was wiped out by bushfire, and now we can’t open because of too much snow,” she told Sky News Australia.
