‘No question’ right to abortion will be a primary concern of US midterms

If the US Supreme Court overturns Roe v Wade, 26 states are expected to dramatically limit women’s access to abortion.

Perth USAsia Centre CEO Gordon Flake says the leak is coming shortly before the midterm elections – due to be held in November – and dividing an already fractured nation.

“It’s a very political issue, and so there’s no question that for the coming months, this will probably be one of the primary issues in terms of domestic politics in the United States,” he told Sky News Australia.
