China has reacted angrily to the New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s joint statement with US President Joe Biden after her visit to the United States.

“China’s security is not aimed at third parties, nor is it intended to establish military bases, the US and New Zealand’s joint statement hyped up relevant problems with ulterior motives, created false information and smeared China,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said.
