Former US president Donald Trump posted “very realistic and clever satire” in response to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s glitch-ridden presidential candidacy announcement on Twitter, Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan says.

DeSantis announced he will seek the Republican Party’s nomination for the 2024 election during a Twitter Q&A with the platform’s owner Elon Musk, which was marred with technical difficulties on Wednesday .

“I’m Ron DeSantis, and I’m running for president to lead our great American comeback,” DeSantis said in his official campaign video posted to his Twitter account. DeSantis was due to formally announce his bid for US president in a Twitter spaces session with Musk but the audio stream repeatedly crashed and rebooted before he could even speak.

Mr Trump posted a parody video of Mr DeSantis in response. It featured voice-cloning AI, supposedly matching the likeness of such individuals as Hungarian-American businessman George Soros and World Economic Forum Chairperson Klaus Schwab.

Ms Markson said this isn’t the first case of police brutality towards an elderly woman suffering from dementia. “I showed you the other night the awful footage the Guardian published of police handcuffing, twice, Rachel Grahame, who weighed just 45kg. “And now the sister of a young man who died after being tasered by police has also spoken publicly. '(Ana Laudisio's) brother, Robert, stole a packet of biscuits from a Sydney convenience store one night in 2012 and was chased by police and then tasered more than a dozen times – he died.”

‘Fallout’ from Victorian state budget ‘continues’: Credlin‘Fallout’ from Victorian state budget ‘continues’: CredlinYesterday's Victorian state budget is a shameless attack on business, property owners and private schools, and the fallout continued today, says Sky News host Peta Credlin. “And because the Andrews government is usually a model for Labor everywhere, it's a grim foretaste of what may come to other states across our federation,' she said. Ms Credlin said because it can't stop its spending, the Andrews government is “effectively broke”. “But rather than change, it's hitting the most productive people, and punishing aspiration, so that it can keep bribing key constituencies. “The extraordinary thing about this budget is that, despite all the new taxes, it actually doesn't tackle debt – debt's expected to hit $170 billion, with an interest bill that will rise to $8 billion a year.'

AI could be a ‘far worse version’ of ‘dangerous’ and ‘woefully unregulated’ internetAI could be a ‘far worse version’ of ‘dangerous’ and ‘woefully unregulated’ internetThere’s a lot of “trust” involved in artificial intelligence, says Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan. “The internet, for example, which is ... the last big thing before AI, the internet remains really woefully unregulated and pretty dangerous,” Mr Morgan said. “Why would AI not be just a far worse version of the internet where it all starts off well-intentioned but actually goes to hell quite quickly?”

Potential swipe at Trump in DeSantis’ Twitter launchPotential swipe at Trump in DeSantis’ Twitter launchSky News US Contributor Michael Ware says any candidate aiming to secure the Republican primary will eventually have to 'run through' former president Donald Trump. 'Ron DeSantis hasn't attempted that so far,' Mr Ware told Sky News Australia. 'He did make what we think was an oblique reference in his disastrous Twitter launch when he said that government is not about entertaining, building a brand or virtue signalling. 'Many people are taking that as a swipe at the former president.'
