Sky News host Paul Murray has questioned why “everything” is a “gender war”, amid the suggestion that playgrounds are “colonised” by boys. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, The Macquarie School of Education’s Dr Dean Dudley said: “We provide football-sized space for kids to play soccer or touch football, but no discreet areas for kids to dance or play minor games that are not overrun by larger games”.

Mr Murray said, “The last time I checked, girls were not invented in the past five years – they’ve found a way to dance, they’ve found a way to hang out”.
