Sad, happy, hungover? There's a TV series for you, whatever your mood.
An American crime drama created and primarily written by author and former police reporter David Simon. Set in Baltimore, Maryland, it introduces a different institution of the city and its relationship to law enforcement in each season while retaining characters and advancing storylines from previous seasons. The five subjects are, in chronological order: the illegal drug trade, the port system, the city government and bureaucracy, education and schools, and the print news medium.
This mockumentary is shot in the format of a reality TV show, but of course, with a much better script and real actors. The show centres on themes of social clumsiness, the trivialities of human behaviour, self-importance and conceit, frustration, desperation and fame, and it will have you laughing out loud. It has two British series and nine US Series available on Amazon Prime.Starring Tia and Tamera as identical twin sisters who are separated at birth but then are reunited as teenagers.
