The WA Liberal Party says most of the 66 recommendations contained in a highly critical review of its operations in the lead-up to the last state election will require further consultation before a vote in mid-2022.

However, the party said only 29 of 66 recommendations were able to be implemented now, with them comprising mostly administrative changes such as alterations to policy development processes, the party's financial committee, and IT systems.

"The changes that are implemented are administrative changes that can be implemented straight away," he said. "This report acts as a bit of a circuit breaker … and the beauty of it is it provides a clear pathway to make changes that need to be made in the party, and we've accepted that as a party. The party's outgoing state president, Fay Duda, said adopting the recommendations would "allow us to re-earn the trust of West Australians".
