‘A bit of a relief’: New contender emerges for pending Aussie Test vacancy
Tasmanian opener Caleb Jewell has thrown his hat in the ring for David Warner’s spot in the Test side after peeling off a century during Australia A’s 68-run loss to New Zealand in Mackay.
New Zealand A completed a 2-0 series whitewash over the hosts on Thursday, having defeated Australia A by 255 runs in last week’s four-day contest in Brisbane. “I’m happy with the consistency at the moment, but I’m also aware that there’s going to come times where I’m not going to score runs.”
