The price of broccoli and cabbage are rising particularly fast after iceberg lettuce recently reached as much as $12 per head at some supermarkets. Robert Baierl, who has sourced fresh ingredients from the market for 28 years, settled on two cabbages for $18 for his Terrey Hills restaurant Kaiser Stub’n.Despite estimating that his weekly grocery budget had doubled this year, the restaurateur said he would not pass rising costs on to his customers.
