“At that time, we had no records of black-crowned night heron[s] at the museum, and the applicant made no indication that herons are known to nest on the museum grounds, so we terminated the consultation without recommendations,” said Jayette Bolinski, director of communications for the, in an emailed statement. As a result, IDNR investigators never visited the site, and the review was closed a day later.
