A coroner finds the death of a 22-year-old Tasmanian man hit by a jet ski was caused by another man who was woefully ill-prepared.
In an affidavit, he said he found Mr Rice face down in the water, and he flipped him over and held him.
Coroner Simon Cooper said Mr Apted left the Trevallyn Dam area and later presented himself to the Launceston Police Station. The Coroner found both men were not licenced to operate the jet skis, despite it being a legal requirement for many years.
