Exam boards will be publishing grade boundaries as results are released on Thursday morning
Students across England and Wales will find out the results of their A Level examinations today, Thursday, August 17. It's the moment of truth for thousands of youngsters who will find out whether they achieved the grades they need to get into their chosen universities.
It comes as school leavers are also expected to face more competition for university places due to a growth in 18-year-olds in the population and international demand. Clare Marchant, chief executive of Ucas, told school leavers to research options and prepare a plan B in case they don't get the grades they are after.Pupils will be picking up their results from their schools and colleges from 8am this morning, and will be eager to find out how they got on.
