The Crepe Factory Afloat is back on the Bridgewater Canal this summer
Our canals and waterways make for a scenic day out no matter what, but there's something new luring visitors this summer.
As well as selling crepes with various sweet and savoury fillings, from Nutella and strawberries, to ham and cheese, it serves up ice creams, cakes, milkshakes, coffees and a whole lot more. It's run by couple Sandra and Robert Fell, from Nelson, Lancashire, who moved onto the boat and started the business 14 years ago, after retiring from their other jobs in landscape gardening and manufacturing garden ornaments.
After moving from their spot close to The Moorings pub in Boothstown, this weekend, June 29 and 30, the couple will be at Pennington Flash, in Leigh, Wigan. The following weekend, July 6 and 7, they'll be back in Boothstown. Weather depending, the opening hours are 10am to 5pm on both days.
