“It’s one of the new variants of the Omicron group, which are all hugely transmissible,” Curtin University epidemiologist Archie Clements toldThere’s not enough data at this stage to tell just how transmissible it will be, but its association with the other Omicron strains makes it “highly likely” it will be easily spread, he explained.
