The last week of August is sure to be a tasty one.

Sloan's Lake edition will run every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through September 24. As at the Lakewood edition, there will be plenty of food vendors and trucks on hand for the free-to-attend event. The Colorado Festival of Horror is coming September 9-11, but the fun starts this weekend with a release party for the festival beer from 4 to 9 p.m. Boozo’s Funhouse, an amber-colored Vienna malt, will be available on tap and in limited-edition beer-can pint glasses. Dragon Meadery will also be on site, pouring tasters and premiering its exclusive COFOH Cabernet wine. from 1 to 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $40 in advance and $50 day of and include unlimited samples and live music.

Larimer Square is celebrating its birthday with a variety of events from 4 to 8 p.m. The festivities include free historic walking tours and live music, plus Captain Crepes will serve its first 250 crepes for free. Get more details atUncorked Wine Fest, which benefits the Action Center, is coming to downtown Lakewood. The event takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. and includes tastings of at least twenty different wines as well as cider, aperitivos and spirits.
