Raccoons entered a Seguin substation transformer twice in two days, causing power outages, according to officials.Monday night after another raccoon made its way into a substation transformer on the the east side of the city, which is about 35 mile from downtown San Antonio, according to a police social media post.
A similar scenario played out on Sunday morning, when almost half of the city lost electricity because of a raccoon. It is unclear if it was the same raccoon that caused both outages. At about 9 p.m. on Monday night, Seguin police wrote on Facebook that crews from the Lower Colorado River Authority were working with the city's Electric Department to clear the transformer and get power restored.
