Warnings have been raised for Chinese hardware in electric vehicles causing a potential “security risk” as the United Kingdom pushes for more electric cars, Sky News host James Macpherson acknowledged.

“The UK has legislated that by 2030 all vehicles must be electric – most of them will come from China,” Mr Macpherson said.

“They’re warning that with Chinese hardware in these vehicles, they could just bring traffic to a stop. “It’s a real threat.”
