Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has reiterated Daniel Andrews 'does cook a great steak' as he paid tribute to his friend who quit as the Victorian Premier.
"Daniel's career has been quite extraordinary. He has had a lot thrown at him over the years," Mr Albanese said."I can confirm that he did cook that barbecue that day in his backyard in spite of an example of the sort of crazy stuff sometimes that's thrown at people in public life.

Not making easy decisions, making difficult decisions."
"He's been a dear friend of mine for nearly three decades, and I said to him, thank you for the partnership, to this point one that will only grow and become stronger and more meaningful for Victorian workers, patients and students, for everybody.
"It's not an easy job being Premier of our state, that's not a complaint, that's just a fact. It requires 100 per cent from you and your family.

Albanese in many ways tries to follow the ‘Dan Andrews playbook’Shadow Immigration Minister Dan Tehan says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in many ways, is trying to “follow the Dan Andrews playbook”. “Dan Andrews and Anthony Albanese were close mates, and I think Anthony Albanese, in many ways, is trying to follow the Dan Andrews playbook,” Mr Tehan told Sky News Australia. “I really worry for what that means for our nation, and I hope that Anthony Albanese will take a different track. “Because if he doesn’t, after Anthony Albanese finishes, we’ll be poorer as a nation and poorer as Australian people, and that’s not what we want as a nation, and especially at this time.” Mr Tehan’s remarks come after the Victorian Premier announced his resignation on Tuesday, which will take effect at 5pm on Wednesday.
