Aaron Rodgers is getting the full New York sports experience this weekend.
The new Jets quarterback is getting a taste of what playoff games in New York are like as he’s in attendance at Madison Square Garden Sunday afternoon for Game 1 of the Knicks’ second-round NBA playoff series against the Heat.for the Rangers’ Game 6 win over the Devils to force a Game 7 on Monday in Newark.
Rodgers was shown on the video board in the first quarter and waved to the crowd as he received an ovation. Rodgers was at Saturday’s game with some of his new Jets teammates, including wide receiver Allen Lazard, whom Rodgers played with in Green Bay. The Jets finally agreed to a trade for the former Packers quarterback last Monday, and he was introduced during a press conference in Florham Park on Wednesday.
Though the Jets are in the midst of a 12-year playoff drought, expectations for 2023 have skyrocketed beyond just making the postseason with the acquisition of Rodgers.Aaron Rodgers is in the house to watch the Knicks host the Heat.
