Abba have paid an emotional tribute to their long-standing guitarist Lasse Wellander following his death aged 70.
‘The importance of his creative input in the recording studio as well as his rock solid guitar work on stage was immense. Wellander played on some of Abba’s biggest hits and was a huge part of their recordings through the 1970s and 1980s, while he most recently had a hand inHis family said in a statement: ‘It is with indescribable sadness that we have to announce that our beloved Lasse has fallen asleep.
