Melbourne businessman Joseph Gersh lamented “centre right” voices getting drowned out in the media.
Mr Gersh was nominated during the Turnbull government. He said the current leadership has stabilised the organisation after the period he dubs a “steep learning curve”.
Mr Gersh arrived at the ABC just as the scandal around then-managing director MIchelle Guthrie erupted.Mr Gersh also lamented how voices on the “centre right” had been drowned out in public debate, citing the ugly scenes earlier this month when neo-Nazis attended an anti-LGBTQ rally outside the Victorian parliament in Melbourne.
“If you want to pick up the vibe of inside the ABC, it appears to tilt in favour of the Voice – so do I personally – but the ABC has an obligation to be impartial. I have every confidence that the No case will be invited access to the ABC.
