Ben Latimer, the ABC’s head of audio content, is being questioned about a directive he claims to have given, effectively banning journalist Antoinette Lattouf from posting about the Israel-Gaza war on social media. Latimer maintains that he instructed Stephen Ahern, acting as head of capital city networks, to tell Lattouf not to post anything on social media. However, an email from Ahern to Latimer contradicts this, suggesting that Lattouf was advised against posting about the conflict rather than outright banned. Lattouf's barrister argues that the email contradicts Latimer's claims.
