Sky News host Andrew Bolt says it is no secret the ABC has been “leading the virus scare campaign” and cheering on the very harshest bans.

“Why not. Not a single ABC journalist loses a job from these bans,” he said. He said the "supposedly impartial" national broadcaster has been “defending the most authoritarian premier in the country, Victoria’s Daniel Andrews”.

Mr Bolt said the ABC refuses to see or to criticise the deeply concerning fact Premier Andrews is now trying to get Parliament to pass new laws and grant further powers to detain people. The new security legislation is designed to empower ‘authorised officers’ with the ability to detain people they believe to be ‘at risk’ and not complying with health directives. "No trial, no court, no proof needed," Mr Bolt said. "How could a democracy tolerate this".
