More than 1,000 water customers are having to boil water before drinking or cooking with it in Bexar, Bandera and Kerr counties. This is the latest updated list, and information on what to do if you're included.
A loss of pressure in the water system has led to a boil water notice affecting nearly 2,000 households in Bexar, Kerr and Bandera counties.Lake Medina Shores in Bandera County, affecting all 1,069 households. Oak North Mobile Home Estates in Bexar County, affecting all 338 households. Westwood in Kerr County, affecting all 113 households. Oak Ridge Estates in Kerr County, affecting all 41 households.
Children, seniors and people with weakened immune systems are especially susceptible to harmful bacteria and are urged to comply with the notice. The notice will be in effect until water sample testing indicates that water is safe for consumption, officials said.One resident of Lake Medina Shores emailed KSAT concerned about when the water would be turned back on.
