The series for W, part of UKTV, hones in on weddings in the Ribble Valley
Amanda Waddington from Accrington, who has her own home baking business, Caked In It, will be featured on a TV programme called Wedding Valley along with other wedding suppliers. The finalist of the 2022 Hyndburn Business Awards says she is delighted to be featured on the show especially since her business had its twelfth anniversary on January 8.
Amanda ordered a christening cake for her daughter, Madison and she found that it was mouldy on the inside. The experience encouraged her to look up on the internet how to make cakes. Leanne Cawtherley, who owns The Sweetest Thing Cakery in Accrington, will also be featured in the 10-part TV series. “We started with the Royal Jubilee weekend which was one of the busiest weeks I have ever had. During that week I did 12 weddings. It was crazy. The filming crew loved the fact that I have an allotment where I grow all sorts of things.
